Villa Bella Chianti

Villa Bella Chianti is a large 6 bedroom villa in Tuscany with private infinity swimming pool and set in spacious gardens. It occupies a prime position among the Chianti Hills in the village of Madonna di Pietracupa, near San Donato in Poggio. The property enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation is arranged within a main villa, a separate apartment and two smaller dependences within the grounds. In total Villa Bella Chianti can sleep up to 12 guests, with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

The main house accommodates up to 6 guests. Rooms here are arranged over two floors. On the ground floor, there is a spacious open plan living and dining area. A dining table seats 12, perfect for long meals in the Winter months. A fireplace adds charm and character to the space. There is also a fully equipped professional kitchen. Both the dining and kitchen areas have doors leading directly to the garden. Finally there is a WC on this floor and a laundry room. Upstairs there is a second living room. This is a smaller room with comfortable sofas and armchairs arranged around a TV. And there is a study corner. A small balcony leads from here and overlooks the garden. Please note that this space is also accessible via an external staircase. There are also 2 double rooms in the main villa (one with ensuite shower room) as well as a bedroom furnished with 2 single beds (which can be joined on request) and another bathroom with shower.

The apartment sits within the main building but is accessed externally via an independent entrance. This is a lovely space, perfect for 2 guests. It has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

Opposite the main villa there is a ground floor dependence which again, is ideal for 2 guests. This has a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The second dependence is connected to the main building via a covered walkway. This again sleeps up to 2 guests. The beds in the bedroom here can either be laid out as two single beds or as one large double bed. There is a bathroom with shower here.

A small fitness room allows guests to stay fit and healthy during their stay. It has a treadmill and exercise bike. Two windows bring in plenty of light. Please note that it does have a sloped ceiling though (minimum height 1.6 metres).

Guests are also welcome to access the wine cellar at the villa and sample the wines on offer there.

The decor is traditional but tasteful throughout the villa. Hand-painted terracotta floors add warmth and colour to the space.

Outside, there are spacious gardens to enjoy, characterised by well-kept lawns and dotted with mature shrubs. An outdoor dining area seats 12 and there is a built in BBQ and wood-fired oven for you to serve up delicious home-cooked meals. The oven is brilliant for baking pizzas and bread. Also outside is a second terrace with more relaxed outdoor sofas and chairs. It's the perfect spot for a sunset aperitif! The centre piece of the outdoor area is definitely the infinity swimming pool though. This measures 13 x 5 metres and has a depth of between 1.2 and 1.5 metres. It is open from mid April to mid October each year. It has been positioned to make the most of the views beyond. Lie poolside and gaze at the Chianti countryside below, dotted with vineyards, olive groves and forests. For your enjoyment, there is also a table tennis table and a foosball table.

Parking is provided for up to 5 cars. A video surveillance system operates in the outdoor areas. This is purely for your peace of mind.
